The essays here are careful, edited, and slow. The Commons is the opposite. It's a place for the quick stuff, a paragraph or two from someone in or around neuroscience, passing along something worth knowing. A talk that stuck with you. A method you're excited about. A finding you're still chewing on.
Anyone in the field or learning it can take part, students included. Every note is read and approved before it goes up, so the bar isn't your credentials. It's that the note is real, clear, and worth a reader's minute.
What a note looks like
Short. A title, a few sentences, your name and where you are. No sources to format, no essay to write, no code to touch. If you can explain it to a curious friend in a paragraph, it belongs here.
How to take part
Email your note to theneuroreview@gmail.com with the subject "Commons," and one line about who you are. We read every one, and if it's a fit, it goes up with your name on it. That's the whole process.
