The features here are careful, edited, and often from working scientists and journalists. The Commons is the other way in. It's the space for students and early-career writers in and around neuroscience, whether that's a short note from the field or a fuller piece that works through the evidence.

Anyone in the field or learning it can take part, students especially. Every piece is read and edited with the writer before it goes up, so the bar isn't your credentials. It's that it's real, clear, and worth a reader's time.

What belongs here

Anything from a few honest paragraphs to a full piece with its sources. A talk that stuck with you, a method you're excited about, a question you're still chewing on, or a careful walk through a paper you can't stop thinking about. If you can make it clear to a curious reader, it belongs here.

Email us at theneuroreview@gmail.com with the subject "Commons," and one line about who you are. We read every one, we edit it with you, and if it's a fit it goes up with your name on it.
